COLLINGWOOD is taking no chance with oft-injured recruit Daniel Wells, resting him from today's clash with traditional rival Carlton at the MCG.

Wells, 32, had a delayed start to his Magpies career because of a calf injury, but has played the past three matches.

Collingwood does not want to risk the former Kangaroo as it prepares for its third game in 12 days.

Wells was earlier pictured having a kick on the ground in a full tracksuit.

Both North Melbourne and Adelaide have made late changes to selected sides ahead of their clash at Blundstone Arena in Hobart this afternoon.

North have opted to take no chances with Taylor Garner who reported hamstring tightness and has been replaced by Corey Wagner to face the high-flying Crows.

As they look to extend their unbeaten start to the season, the Crows have left-out Wayne Milera who was named in the original 22 despite soreness following last weekend’s impressive win over the Tigers.

Riley Knight returns for the Crows and will be looking to build on his strong start to the season and put behind him the hamstring complaint that saw him left out against Richmond last week.
