NEW RECRUIT Bradley Hill has again impressed at Fremantle training, winning the club's second time trial of the pre-season on Wednesday.

Just as he was in the Dockers' previous 3km trial in November, Hill was victorious, running away from Cam Sutcliffe and Tommy Sheridan.

In the first session of 2017, Josh Deluca and Brownlow medalist Nat Fyfe rounded out the top five in temperatures that exceeded 30 degrees at UWA Sports Park.

Unlike the earlier time trial, when former Hawk Hill led from start to finish, this time he sat in behind for the first lap before powering away to win and lower his time.

"I think he had a different approach,” Sutcliffe said.

"I guess it can change from each race, and he still ran really well as he’s clearly in the top echelon of runners at the club – so it’s good to be able to run with him.

"I thought if I could stay with Brad and Tommy until the end and have a sprint off, I’d see how I’d go, and yeah, I was pleased with that."
