Taylor Walker kicked five goals for Norwood in their 66 point win against North Adelaide. He had limited possessions but used the ball well with four of his goals coming in a damaging second quarter.
Luke Jericho was also good for Norwood, gaining 16 possessions and provided good power running with contested marks a feature of his game. Aaron Kite had 14 possessions in defence with better ball use an aim for him for further development.
Greg Gallman was steady on Taylor Walker though despite conceding goals he was impressive in responding to Norwood’s relentless forward pressure. Nick Gill had 10 possessions as a forward but struggled to get into the contest due to lack of opportunity in a quiet Roosters forward line.
Tony Armstrong was very good in the reserves for North Adelaide and will be pushing for a league spot this week.
James Sellar played in Glenelg’s reserves and was very good with five goals and gained a lot of possession up forward and in the ruck. Ed Curnow had an average game also playing in Glenelg’s reserves.
Brad Moran was very good in the ruck for West Adelaide with 17 possessions and spent time in a back pocket where he was very competitive.
In the game between Central District and Port James Moss had 50 per cent game time for the Bulldogs picking up six possessions.
On Sunday at Murray Bridge Brodie Martin had an excellent first half for Sturt gaining 15 possessions to half time, but was on and off the bench in the second and finished with 20 touches.
Andy Otten had a quiet first half as a forward for South but played through the midfield in the second half and was good. David Mackay had a good game playing on Sturt’s Jade Sheedy finishing with 19 possessions and a goal.
