MAJAK Daw will miss the rest of the season after scans confirmed he dislocated his foot in the VFL on Sunday.
The North Melbourne forward was rushed to hospital after landing awkwardly in a marking contest while playing for Werribee and left the field on a stretcher.
There were fears he may have sustained a broken leg, but at this stage is expected to avoid surgery. He is likely to be in a cast for up to six weeks as he recovers.
The 23-year-old, who has played eight games for the Roos this season, has endured a tough injury run through his career having had his 2013 campaign cut short by a knee reconstruction.
Daw has played a total of 14 games for the club since being selected in the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
