The AFL Record available in newsagents across Victoria at the regular price of $5

The AFL Record is welcoming back its loyal reader base with the release of an expanded print edition which will be available in newsagents across Victoria at the regular price of $5.

This historic post COVID-19 edition will cover all nine games in one issue, and will include the all-important team and player lists, season stats for every club and match previews.

News stories and milestone acknowledgements, such as Patrick Dangerfield's 250th game this week, will also keep readers up to date in what promises to become a true collector's item.

The AFL Record has not missed an edition since the very first one rolled off the presses in 1912 and, even during the COVID-19 shutdown, that tradition has continued – with the first ever weekly digital version made available to footy fans during lock-down which averaged over 60,000 downloads each week.

In this week's special edition, footy fans will enjoy:

Home and away team lists featuring every player listed in alphabetical order - including their height, weight, DOB, club of origin, career/season games and goals as well as their draft history;

Teams squads in guernsey number order which includes space for readers to record goals, behinds and team scores – a time-honoured Record tradition.

For those unable to grab the collector's edition printed copy this week, a smaller digital version of the AFL Record, presented by Karcher will be available for free download on the AFL Live Official App; AFL.com.au; SEN app; sen.com.au and aflnation.com.au, ensuring footy fans right across the country can still get their regular weekly footy fix.

AFL Record Editor Michael Lovett said that the AFL Record was a special part of the footy experience for fans.

"The AFL Record has survived world wars, floods, the great depression and now COVID-19," Lovett said.

"For many fans, it's a key part of their footy ritual so we hope readers love this week's historic printed edition and more importantly enjoy the resumption of our great game."

This week's expanded print edition is available in newsagents across Victoria from Thursday 11 June at the regular price of $5.
