FOLLOWING the announcement that the Essendon v Melbourne game will be postponed and played later in the year, there will be some changes to AFL Fantasy scoring for players selected initially for the Sunday clash.

The 44 Bombers and Demons players selected as of Friday night's full lockout will be awarded their 2020 average for round three.

Conor McKenna, Brayden Ham, Aaron vandenBerg and Mitch Hannan were selected for their first game this season and their score will reflect their 2019 average – adjusted by 80 per cent due to the shortened quarters.

Captains and emergencies will count where applicable.

This will apply for both Classic and Draft formats of our game.

In 2015, the Geelong v Adelaide match was cancelled in the wake of Crows coach Phil Walsh's death. Average scores were awarded and there was a hold on price movements with the 'average' score not included in future price calculations.

There is a lot more to play out including what happens when the match is rescheduled; however, we will remain agile this season in order to cater for our thousands of coaches in both Fantasy Classic and Draft formats.

Lockout will be lifting later than usual – likely to be Monday evening – to work through the implications of these changes.
