Based at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Clinic in Melbourne, Dr. Michael Makdissi consults to a range of sporting organisations. Now in his second year with the AIS/AFL Academy program, Michael also works with the Melbourne Storm Rugby League squad and the Victorian Bushrangers cricket team. He has been involved in major events including the Australian Grand Prix, World Master's Games and Victorian state athletic championships.
Michael has acted as the team doctor for the Victorian - Metro U/16 squads as well as the Northern Knights in the Victorian TAC Cup competition while he now completes his PhD at Melbourne University on concussion in Australian football.
