The 19-year-old was one of the best for the Eagles in their 49-point loss to Melbourne at the MCG.
He kicked three goals, including the first two, took seven marks and collected 13 disposals.
But Staker will also remember his 12th game as the one where he delivered the 'mongrel kick' that resulted in Ashley Sampi taking, what could be, the mark of the year.
The 193cm forward made his debut for the Eagles against the Hawks in round 17, 2003, kicking two goals with his two first kicks in league football.
He played his junior football in Broken Hill and moved to Canberra on a two-year scholarship with the NSW/ACT RAMS.
Staker represented NSW/ACT in the 2002 National's AFL Under 18 Championships and was West Coast's second selection (37th overall) in the 2002 National's AFL Draft.
