FREMANTLE'S Dean Solomon has been handed a one-match suspension by his club for unprofessional behaviour.

Solomon was allowed to stay in Melbourne for the weekend following Freo's loss to Collingwood last Saturday.

Fremantle issued a media release on Wednesday confirming the club-imposed ban, saying Solomon had "detracted from his preparation" for the coming match with Carlton.

Coach Mark Harvey said Solomon had failed to demonstrate the level of professionalism expected from a senior player.

“Dean accepts that his actions detracted from his preparation for this weekend’s game,” Harvey said.
