PORT Adelaide forward Mitch Georgiades has been nominated for the NAB AFL Rising Star after his outstanding performance in round nine.

The 18-year-old forward kicked three goals and had 11 score involvements in the 51-point win against Melbourne at the Gabba on Thursday night.

In just his third senior game, Georgiades was influential for Port Adelaide with a strong display across half-forward and picked up two votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of Year award.

The 191cm forward was the No.18 selection in the 2019 NAB AFL draft and is the first Port Adelaide player to receive a nomination for the NAB Rising Star Award in 2020.
