Drafted out of the SANFL, Fuller is a mature-aged recruit looking to cement his place at the Western Bulldogs in 2014.

At the age of 23, he was the third oldest player picked in the national draft last year and attracted the attention of up to six clubs before the Bulldogs snapped him up at pick No. 42.

Fantasy lock-ins: defenders
- Jeremy Laidler (Sydney Swans)

He’s a natural left footer who played a valuable role in Norwood’s back-to-back premiership defence last year.

Over the course of the season he averaged 66 AFL Fantasy points including an impressive 89 (via 19 disposals) in the SANFL grand final.

Gifted with speed and power, Fuller was the force behind Norwood’s attack with sound decision making when rebounding out of the defensive 50.

Last year, the Bulldogs took on another mature-aged recruit by the name of Brett Goodes. He went on to average 79 points and even though I can’t see Fuller reaching the heights of Goodes, there is an uncanny resemblance in the way he plays.

But, will he even get a game? The word I have been getting from my Bulldog sources is that he is certainly 'in the mix'.

Competition for a game in the Bulldog’s defence is fierce right now and he’ll be fighting for a position along with former former Giant Sam Darley and Easton Wood (if fit).

LOCKABILITY: 1/5

Fuller is certainly not a ‘lock’ at this early stage of the year. The NAB Challenge and pre-season games will tell us if Fuller is, in fact, in the Bulldogs best 22. He is slightly dearer than other rookies who may show more promise, but at this stage, he’s one of the best and cheapest options going around.

Tomorrow, Warnie announces the first player to be named on the field as our sixth defender. Check out #AFL Fantasy on Twitter or follow @CalvinDT and the official account @AFLFantasy.
