RUCKMEN Tom Bellchambers and Sam Jacobs have both been managed for Friday night's Essendon-Greater Western Sydney clash at Metricon Stadium. 

Shaun McKernan replaces Bellchambers in attack to leave Sam Draper as the Bombers' sole ruckman, while Conor McKenna returns after dealing with a lack of motivation last week.

Defender Martin Gleeson, wingman Brayden Ham and three-game forward Ned Cahill have been dumped with Matt Guelfi recalled and Kyle Langford back from suspension.  

Former Giants captain Callan Ward will play after making a quicker than expected recovery from a knee setback, while Shane Mumford fills the Jacobs void to tackle Draper.  

Midfielder Xavier O'Halloran will make his debut for the Giants in his second year on the list after being taken at pick 22 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. 

The Western Jets product is the grandson of the late Ron McCarthy, a member of Footscray's 1954 premiership side.  

Toby Greene and Matt De Boer are both expected to miss at least two matches after injuring their hamstrings in last week's win over Gold Coast.
