THE RETURN of Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch will be delayed after a mishap at his home. 

Crouch, who is trying to return from a hamstring injury, slipped on a wet veranda late last week.

He reported soreness in the first 48 hours following the incident but scans have since cleared the 26yo of further damage.

Crows head of science and medicine Steve Saunders said medical staff would closely monitor the reigning club champion.

"Brad slipped on a wet veranda at home, had a bit of a scare, and has irritated his hamstring tendon," Saunders said.

"Scans today (Monday) were very reassuring and Brad is already running at good speeds, and importantly with no symptoms.

"While we were initially aiming at having him back for the Bulldogs game, this return could now be pushed back a week or two."

Captain Rory Sloane has received positive news after a specialist review on Monday afternoon and is expected to return for Sunday's clash with the Western Bulldogs. 

"Sloaney feels ready to play and demonstrates good hand strength and function," Saunders said.

Meantime, rookie Ayce Taylor will be sidelined with a hamstring tendon issue requiring ongoing management.
