Early prognosis

Improving youngster McPherson will miss at a few weeks with a hamstring strain he suffered against the Bulldogs on Sunday. It adds to the Crows’ hamstring woes with a number of their key players hit by soft-tissue concerns. Crouch is still a week or two away after his slip up at home, while Lynch is the same with his injury. Hamill will be unavailable for at least another week after his second concussion of the season. - Callum Twomey

The Blues could regain three injured players for a trip to Darwin to face the Suns on Friday night, with the club confident Cuningham, Martin and Pittonet will return. However, Kennedy is a chance to miss due to a corkie. Meanwhile, McGovern remains the best part of a month away. Don't expect to see Kreuzer or Jack Silvagni again this season, while Ben Silvagni has been sent for a shoulder reconstruction.Riley Beveridge

The injury list is stacking up at the Pies, with Mihocek and Reid failing to finish last weekend's defeat to the Demons. However, Mihocek has been cleared of concussion as well as any neck/head/shoulder damage and is a chance this week. Quaynor could also face the Kangaroos on Monday night, but time is running out for De Goey, Howe and Sier to return to help the side's finals push. Treloar is the best part of a month away. - Riley Beveridge

Early prognosis

The Bombers are hoping to regain star goalkicker Stringer for Saturday's clash with Richmond in Darwin in what would be a major boost to their forward line. The Bulldogs premiership player has to pass a test but is considered a good chance to play. Smith was managed last week so would be expected to return, while Redman, Francis and Bellchambers are also likely to be available. But returns for Hooker and Fantasia have been pushed back as the club takes a cautious approach with their soft-tissue concerns. - Callum Twomey

There were no fresh injuries following the after-the-siren loss to Carlton. Early prognosis

Ratugolea was spotted at scans last week, and while the Cats were hopeful he'd play against Port Adelaide, was withdrawn from selection due to adductor soreness. He will come into the frame to play Adelaide should he pass full training later this week. Dahlhaus has made rapid progress from his foot injury and played reduced minutes in the Cats' scratch match last week. Guthrie missed a large portion of training on Monday, while Kolodjashnij is expected to be right after a heavy collision in the win over Port Adelaide. Fort is clocking big sessions running in a bid to return. Jack Steven will be in the frame after he was rested against the Power. - Mitch Cleary

Last week's debutant Hutchesson will miss at least a couple of weeks after sustaining a low-grade hamstring train. - Callum Twomey

Early prognosis

Scans on Monday morning confirmed Sicily sustained a right ACL rupture late in Sunday night's loss to West Coast in a devastating blow for the Hawks. He'll miss the rest of this season and likely most, if not all, of the 2021 campaign. O'Meara suffered a broken hand in the same game and is out of at least Saturday's clash with Port Adelaide, while emerging onballer Jones sustained an MCL setback in the earlier scratch game. There's still some uncertainty around Smith's return. Shaun Burgoyne returned from a week off with hamstring tightness against the Eagles, while Jon Patton (hamstring) resumed in a scratch game from his five-week layoffMarc McGowan

Early prognosis

Gawn's now missed the Demons' past two matches, with his PCL issue seemingly the only issue now, after previously also dealing with a tear at the back of his shoulder. Melbourne is hopeful he will return to face the Western Bulldogs on Saturday. However, back-up big man Preuss left the training track early on Wednesday with hip soreness. That follows first-year ruckman Jackson suffering a hamstring setback at training last week. Jack Viney (concussion) and Jay Lockhart (corked thigh) returned to the senior side in Saturday's win over Collingwood after one-game absences. Corey Wagner returned from a fractured wrist in Friday's scratch game against the Magpies' reserves.Marc McGowan

Early prognosis

Cunnington was ruled out for the season last week, with his back injury still causing weakness in his quadriceps and referred issues with his hip flexor. The newest setback was to Walker's right hamstring, in another disappointment for the third-year player who was starting to build form. He had a scan on Tuesday and is awaiting the results. Tarrant was a late withdrawal against Brisbane and will look to return against Collingwood on Monday. Brown and Hayden were close to returning at the weekend, but have now both missed multiple matches. Ziebell and Garner are both aiming to rejoin the main training group within the next week. Tyson hasn't been able to step up his training and remains at least another fortnight off, while Turner remains without a return date. However, Taylor hopes to be out of his knee brace soon.Marc McGowan

Nankervis will also be in the mix, but Prestia remains a couple of weeks away in his recovery from an ankle syndesmosis injury. Astbury is still recovering from his knee setback and hasn't resumed training. The club is hopeful Edwards will join the group in early September, which means he'll be available in the final round of the home and away season after completing his 14 days of quarantine. - Ben Sutton

Rampe won't play again in 2020, after a scan on Monday revealed he had re-broken his right hand and the plate inserted in it had dislodged. The 2016 All-Australian had played four matches since breaking the hand against Hawthorn and undergoing surgery. The Swans have also ruled out Hewett, Ronke and Stoddart for the rest of the season, while it's increasingly unlikely Franklin will return this year. Taylor is also out for the season after his COVID-19 breach last week, but Kennedy and Brand are pushing to get back. - Marc McGowan

Early prognosis

The injuries are mounting up at the Eagles as they prepare to kickstart a run of five games in 19 days on Sunday. Yeo has shown signs of osteitis pubis and was removed from last week's win over Hawthorn. The Eagles are hopeful it is only 2-3 weeks but aware it could quickly escalate. Hutchings and Duggan, who wasn't risks against the Hawks, will be pushing for selection. Redden sat out the last quarter but has suffered a strain that will rule him out against the Giants. Waterman and Schofield have both undergone surgery after training setbacks. Vardy's corked thigh quickly worsened to compartment syndrome and required surgery to release a build-up of blood that created a sizeable wound. - Mitch Cleary
