COLLINGWOOD forward Mason Cox has won his spot back as one of five inclusions for the Pies against North Melbourne on Monday night.

It comes as the Roos have failed to recall Jared Polec, Aaron Hall and Jasper Pittard.

Cox will play his first game since round six, while tagger Levi Greenwood returns for the first time after rupturing his ACL in last year's qualifying final.

Key defender Jordan Roughead and wingman Chris Mayne have been reinstated along with Flynn Appleby, who will play his first game of 2020.

Forward Brody Mihocek has been ruled out after failing to overcome concussion sustained in last week's loss to Melbourne, while Callum Brown is a surprise omission with Rupert Wills and Lynden Dunn

2018 NAB AFL Rising Star winner Jaidyn Stephenson was overlooked to return.

Polec and Hall have been listed as emergencies for the Roos who welcome back last week's late withdrawal Robbie Tarrant (corked calf).

Paul Ahern will play for the first time since round six, while Sam Durdin has been omitted and falls out of the side with the hamstrung Will Walker.
