CHRISTIAN Petracca closed the gap on Lachie Neale in the AFL Coaches Association's AFL Champion Player Award, but he missed out on the perfect 10 despite a match-winning performance in round 14.
Petracca booted four goals against the Saints on Saturday night, but missed out on maximum votes.

Andrew McGrath, Patrick Dangerfield, Robbie Gray, Lachie Whitfield and Ben Ainsworth were the other players to poll 10 in round 14.
Brisbane star Lachie Neale still holds the outright lead, but Petracca, Travis Boak, Taylor Adams and Jack Steele are within striking distance if they can produce a big finish to the season.
