THE WESTERN Bulldogs have suffered a double hamstring blow with ex-skipper Easton Wood and speedy forward Laitham Vandermeer set for stints on the sidelines.

THE FULL INJURY LIST Who is racing the clock?

Vandermeer will miss the rest of the home and away season, with a six-week timeline set for his recovery.

Wood's injury is less severe, but should see him miss two to three weeks.

The out-of-contract Wood has already missed time this year with a quad and another minor hamstring injury.

Both players were injured in the first half of the round 14 clash against Geelong and did not return to the field.

Midfielder Callum Porter has progressed well from a groin injury and is a week off returning, while Zaine Cordy should be right in the mix for selection following a strong performance in a scratch match against the Cats.

Fergus Greene has been unsighted at senior level this year, but could be an option to replace Vandermeer as a small forward after kicking three goals in the most recent scratch match.
