THE AFL has been advised by health authorities and stadium management there is no risk to players and supporters at this Sunday’s AFL first elimination final between Sydney Swans and Carlton at ANZ Stadium.

It follows testing by New South Wales Health on the cooling towers at Sydney Olympic Park after two people who visited the precinct last month tested positive to Legionnaires’ disease.

One tower at ANZ Stadium returned preliminary results for Legionella, and the cooling towers at the stadium have since been shut down and cleaned and do not pose any further risk, authorities said.
