The Brisbane Lions have named an unchanged squad for this Saturday’s clash against sixth-placed Sydney at the Gabba.

The 22 players who proved too strong for Adelaide last week at AAMI Stadium will again take to the field to try to extend the Lions’ winning streak to three games.

The only differences to this week’s side are minor positional changes.

Midfielder Jack Redden will start the game as ruck rover instead of on the interchange bench in place of James Polkinghorne, and Tom Collier has been named in the back pocket, swapping his position on the wing with Matt Austin.

It’s little wonder that the Lions have stuck with the team that carried them to a 40 point victory over Adelaide last Sunday.

After some initial hiccups earlier in the season, the Lions forward line has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks with the addition of Ash McGrath up front, the return of skipper Jonathan Brown and the inclusion of 2011 debutant Bryce Retzlaff.

And the Lions backmen are earning widespread praise for their form this season, with Daniel Merrett, Pearce Hanley and Jed Adcock all providing solid and consistent contributions week after week.

It will be only the second time in Michael Voss’s tenure as Senior Coach that the Lions have named an unchanged team from the week prior.

In the team's Round 13 clash against Richmond in 2010, the Lions selected the same 22 that had been defeated by the Western Bulldogs the week before.

However, veteran Simon Black was a late withdrawal with the flu and was replaced by emergency player Aaron Cornelius.

The final Lions team for Round 11 is as follows:

B: Tom Collier (22), Daniel Merrett (21), Jed Adcock (7)
HB: Cheynee Stiller (32), Joel Patfull (24), Pearce Hanley (11)
C: Luke Power (6), Simon Black (20), Matt Austin (8)
HF: Sam Sheldon (3), Mitchell Clark (1), Todd Banfield (18)
F: Ash McGrath (9), Jonathan Brown (16), Bryce Retzlaff (37)
Foll: Matthew Leuenberger (23), Daniel Rich (10), Jack Redden (30)
Int: James Polkinghorne (31), Jesse O’Brien (34), Josh Green (42), Rohan Bewick (43)
Emerg: Ryan Harwood (26), Andrew Raines (29), Matt Maguire (36)
