RICHMOND sharp shooter Jack Riewoldt has been named for his first match of 2011 after recovering from a jarred knee.

Riewoldt will launch his 2011 campaign in this week's NAB Challenge match against Adelaide, which has included Kurt Tippett, despite fears the versatile big man had seriously injured his ankle in last week's NAB Challenge match against Carlton.

Crows captain Nathan van Berlo has been brought in to the side, as has Richmond skipper Chris Newman.

But Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge will miss the entire pre-season campaign after the Hawks left him out of their clash with Melbourne.

Hodge is yet to play a competitive match this season as he fights to overcome an Achilles problem.

Hawthorn ruckman Max Bailey has been named for his first match in Hawks colours since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament for the third time in round 22, 2009.

Bailey played one intra-club match earlier in the season.

The Demons have strengthened their line-up with leaders Brad Green, Aaron Davey and Jack Grimes. Livewire forward Liam Jurrah, Colin Garland and Clint Bartram also return.

Jack Riewoldt is a $347,500 forward in the Toyota AFL Dream Team competition
