Brett was captain of the Australian International Rules youth team for the recent Melbourne test against Irelands best young players. He displayed a controlled outlook, an ability to communicate and organize the team on the field and undoubtedly had the respect of his peers.

Playing in the defensive centreman/HBF rotation he was an excellent player from ‘behind’ the ball. He has a strong attack on the ball whether it is in the air or on the ground, is prepared to physically attack the opposition’s body through tackling, chasing or just crashing. At 187cms he competes very well overhead, is a strong mark and an aggressive spoiler.
