Rookie Aidan Riley produced a powerful performance as an inside onballer as Sturt thrashed the Eagles in SANFL at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

In the 58-point win over the Eagles, Riley collected 19 possessions including 10 kicks, nine handballs and five marks. His decision-making and handball skills were high and his impact on the game significant.

Sam Jacobs played his first league game for the Eagles since returning from four years with Carlton. Playing as a tall forward and ruckman, he worked his way into the game and had 13 possessions and took eight marks.

Jarryd Lyons collected 18 possessions in Glenelg’s league side against Norwood at The Parade on Friday night. The 18-year-old midfielder was good 'in close' and was strong over the ball.

Jack Gunston collected 12 kicks, six handballs and eight marks playing on the wing and half forward for Central District against South on Saturday. He played out the game strongly, gaining half of his possessions in the last quarter.

On Sunday, Tony Armstrong had 11 possessions in a half for North Adelaide but then rested a sore ankle. For the Magpies, rookie Tim Milera had 10 kicks and three marks.

Will Young picked up 27 disposals in Norwood’s reserves on Friday night, playing in defence. Rookies Lachlan Roach (24 possessions, North) and Jake von Bertouch (nine possessions, Eagles) also played reserves.
