PortAdelaideFC.com.au heard from long-time Port Adelaide fan, Troy Wingate, who tells us about his love for the club.

PAFC: How long have you been a Power member?
Since 2006

Where do you sit at the games?
With the Outer Army, front row of Bay 144

Why do you love the Port Adelaide Football Club?
I've been a Port Adelaide supporter since I was 10 years old, and I've lived and breathed Port Adelaide ever since. Such a brilliant club with so much history and heritage. There is not another club that comes close to how great Port Adelaide is. 138 years of history, heritage and tradition, and I hope it goes on for another 138 years and many more! I couldn't be more proud to be a Port Adelaide supporter, and I will wear my colors til the day I die.

What is your best memory at AAMI Stadium?
That's tough. There is a couple. The first game I ever went to was the Port Adelaide vs. Carlton Heritage Round game in 2003. It was great to see the prison bar jumper in the AFL. The 2004 Qualifying Final, after a couple of losses in the QF's in the previous years, it was great to get over that bump in the road, and I would also have to say the Qualifying Final against West Coast last year, we were down big, then kept up the Port Adelaide fighting spirit, and won the game!

Favourite Power moment (outside of the 2004Premiership)?
There is a few, been to some great road wins. I would say my favourite was the game in Geelong last year when Dom Cassisi kicked the winning goal. It was very hot, I had a rotten headache, but I didn't care, I kept cheering loud for the guys!

Favourite player? Why?
Matt Thomas. He reminds me alot of Michael Wilson, he's not afraid to throw his body around and put himself on the line.

Which young player has caughtyour eye the most?
There are a few impressive youngsters, Boaky, 'Pate' Carlile, Chaps, Hoffy (bulk up young man!). We've got a great future ahead of us.

Which player typifies the Port Adelaide FootballClub best and why?
I think there are two actually. Chad Cornes and Michael Wilson. They have so much love for the game and the club, and the passion the play with is unreal. Wilbur is unreal, two knee re-constructionss, shoulder re-constructions, had a snapped Achilles, and he is still going strong. Michael Wilson, you’re a legend!

Why do you love going to games at AAMI Stadium?
Just being there to support the guys. Us in the Outer Army Bay 144 try to make as much noise as we can. Great stuff!

What could the club do differently at home games?
Well, you can't please everyone, but just listening to the members and trying new things, see what things members like the most and what they don't. Obviously winning more games does a lot to help too. Winning is the most important thing. GO POWER!
