NORTH Melbourne draftee Curtis Taylor will make his debut on Sunday against Geelong with veteran Scott Thompson withdrawn from the selected team due to an adductor injury.

Thompson was replaced in the side by Taylor on Saturday, with Tom Campbell added to the emergencies.

The 33-year-old suffered the injury in the second quarter of North Melbourne's big win over Carlton last week and sat out the second half.

"It's feeling good," Thompson told nmfc.com.au on Friday.

"I did a bit of running yesterday and that was very positive. I'll do a bit more running tomorrow and see how it goes, but I'm a big chance."

Taylor was taken with pick 46 in last year's NAB AFL Draft and played predominantly as a forward for Vic Metro in the national championships.

He kicked 3.1 for North's VFL side last weekend.
