TOM LYNCH will not attend this year's Brownlow Medal count, with the departing Gold Coast forward not among the list of invitees released by the AFL on Monday morning.

The League revealed the names of those attending next week's count, with the Suns' list comprising Jarrod Harbrow, Steven May, Touk Miller, David Swallow and Lachie Weller.

Lynch asked to be traded from the Suns in August, with Richmond considered to be in the box seat to secure the star forward.

He was then stripped of the co-captaincy by Gold Coast.

Every other skipper is scheduled to attend, with co-captains of both Melbourne (Nathan Jones and Jack Viney) and Greater Western Sydney (Phil Davis and Callan Ward) coming to the event.

A few surprises among the names of invitees include soon-to-be-delisted Bomber veteran Brendon Goddard, improved Demon Jake Melksham, young Saint Jack Steele and oft-injured Blue Matthew Kreuzer.

Clubs are asked to provide a guest list of four players, plus the club's captain and any previous past winners of the prestigious medal.
