Contact between Richmond’s Nathan Gordon and the Sydney Swans’ Kieren Jack from the third quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. Jack wins the ball against Richmond’s Shane Edwards and is then immediately confronted by Gordon. Gordon seeks to bump Jack, who moves to spin away from the contact. Gordon makes glancing contact to Jack as the Sydney player goes to ground. It was the view of the panel a free kick could have been paid for the high contact, had it been seen by the umpire at the time, but the force used was not sufficient for a report to be made. No further action was taken.
