A BALI motorbike accident has left veteran Greater Western Sydney defender Joel Patfull with a fractured collarbone.

The 30-year-old, who was on an end-of-season surfing trip with ex-Brisbane Lions teammate Zac O'Brien in the Indonesian holiday spot, fell off the bike in Kuta on Saturday night.

After being treated at Bali International Medical Centre (BIMC), Patfull was diagnosed with a fracture to his left clavicle.

He will return home to Australia for a specialist assessment, which will determine how the injury will affect his pre-season.

The former Lion played 16 games this year in his first season as a Giant after 182 for his previous club.

He was on the first day of his trip and is now making arrangements to fly back.
