Nathan Grima has hit back in the race to be named North’s best runner with a sizzling 2km time-trial around the Aberfeldie Athletics track on Monday.

2011 draftees Brad McKenzie and Tom Curran were introduced to their new team-mates before the players ran some fast-paced laps and it was Grima who impressed most.

The defender upstaged the club’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach Jona Segal and pre-season stand-out Will Sierakowski with an outstanding late burst to the finish line.

Segal wore a special camera to capture the race from a runner’s point of view, giving kangaroos.com.au an exciting and exclusive insight.
