Over 200,000 Collingwood supporters have submitted their names to be printed on the club’s Grand Final banner.

During the six-day campaign, 212,736 supporters lodged their first and last name through collingwoodfc.com.

The club has included all 71,271 members on the banner with over 100,000 Magpie supporters taking up the opportunity.

Collingwood skipper Nick Maxwell launched the campaign on CTV directly after the preliminary final win against Hawthorn.

“We have just beaten the Hawks and we are off to the 2011 Grand Final,” Maxwell said in the rooms after the team meeting.

“We need you there side by side.

“All 70,000 plus members, all our supporters, even if you are not a member, get on board and get your name on the banner.

“We want our Magpie Army to be the last thing we see, all your names, before we run out and try and claim our 16th premiership.

“Get behind us.”

The club thanks the Magpie Army for coming out in force and showing the playing group their support ahead of Saturday’s Grand Final.

Below is the design of the front of the banner which the 22 Magpies will run through on Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
