Hawthorn Football Club’s first premiership (1961) coach John Kennedy Snr and then captain Graham Arthur were joined by triple premiership player Peter Knights at Glenferrie Oval on Wednesday to reminisce on their premiership memories.

Kennedy led the Hawks as coach to three premierships in 1961, 1971 and 1976 and Knights played in Kennedy’s final premiership in 1976, going on to win premierships in 1978 and 1983. Arthur, the Club’s first premiership captain will have the honour at this year’s grand final to present the Premiership Cup to current Hawks captain Sam Mitchell, should the Hawks be successful.
