West Coast Eagles chief executive officer Trevor Nisbett and his Fremantle counterpart, Steve Rosich, will this evening present a joint formal submission to the WA Football Commission requesting that the WAFL clubs endorse a proposal which provides the opportunity for both AFL clubs to field standalone teams in the WAFL competition from season 2012 onwards.

Nisbett and Rosich are scheduled to make a similar presentation to the WAFL clubs and other football stakeholders at a breakfast meeting on Thursday at Patersons Stadium.

A media briefing on the 52-page submission - entitled Making WA Football Stronger For The Future - will take place later that morning.

The submission is also due to posted on the West Coast Eagles website on Thursday.

The WAFL clubs will have six weeks to consider the proposal and provide responses in a submission to the WAFC.

The WAFC will then make a recommendation on the proposal.

If the proposal is recommended by the WAFC, the WAFL clubs will be required to vote on the final outcome.
