The match was originally scheduled to start at 2.10pm on Saturday April 10, but due to the Autumn Carnival at the nearby Randwick Racecourse, the Swans v Richmond match has been re-scheduled to start at 7.10pm.
“Don’t turn up early unless you want to come and watch the grass grow!’’ Roos said in a video message to the fans.
Roos says anyone who turns up early will have to do 50 push-ups as a penalty.
However members and supporters are encouraged to arrive from 4.30pm because there will be a fantastic “kid’s zone’’ operating outside the SCG, with kicking and handball games, and face painting.
The Swans reserves will also be playing on the SCG, against Belconnen, in their first official match of the new season. That match starts at 3.50pm, and gates to the SCG open at 3.45pm.
But remember, as Roosy says, the main game will be starting at 7.10pm, so come and watch the Swans light up the SCG for the first time in 2010, when they take on Richmond.
Games at the SCG are electrifying. See the Swans take on Richmond next Saturday night. Grab your tickets now at www.ticketek.com.au. Please note first bounce for our Round 3 fixture Sydney Swans v Richmond is 7.10pm. Gates open at 3.45pm.
