THE highly-anticipated 2025 NAB AFLW Finals Series is here.

As the milestone tenth season draws to a close, the AFL proudly launched the finals series and announced the Grand Final medal presenters today at Yarraville Seddon Eagles FC in Melbourne's west.

Kicking off this Friday night, the finals series will see St Kilda and the West Coast Eagles make their maiden finals appearance alongside experienced campaigners the Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions, while Melbourne, Carlton and Hawthorn once again compete for the silverware.

Claiming the 2025 minor premiership, the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos will also be striving to defend their title after taking home the flag last year.

For the first time in the competition's history the captain of the winning grand final team will receive a medal - the equivalent of the Ron Barassi Medal in the AFL. As a former co-captain of the Adelaide Crows who won two best on ground medals among three premierships, Hall of Famer Erin Phillips OAM will present the Captain's Medal to the winning captain.

Recognising the significance of the milestone 10th season, inaugural 2017 Premiership Coach of the Adelaide Crows, Bec Goddard OAM, will hand over the medal to the winning coach, while Annie White, who was the field umpire who threw the ball up in the first match between Carlton and Collingwood nine years ago, will present the grand final umpires with their medals.

AFL Commissioner Simone Wilkie AO – who also Chairs the AFLW Competition Committee – will present the Best on Ground medal.

Joining the grand final medal presenters today in Melbourne was 2025 NAB AFLW Premiership Cup Ambassador Debbie Lee. The Hall of Famer was on hand to celebrate the beginning of the 2025 NAB AFLW Premiership Cup Tour, which starts in Perth, Western Australia, tomorrow, Thursday 6 November.

Celebrating the NAB AFLW Finals launch at Yarraville Seddon Eagles - the former club of North’s Jasmine Garner - the Eagles now have more than 140 women and girls playing across all age groups at their club, highlighting the growth of women and girls participation since the inception of AFLW.

It's going to incredibly exciting as we enter November and this pinnacle part of the year," Moore said.

"With more than 268,000 fans through the gates this home and away season – which is up year on year – we know footy fans are enjoying the atmosphere and unique match-day experience at games, and during finals this will no doubt go to the next level.

This year we will award the inaugural Captain’s Medal, as well as the Best on Ground, Coach and umpire medals.
