THE AFLW trade period kicked off on Thursday with plenty of players weighing up big moves.

With future pick trading introduced for the first time this year, clubs will be able to put picks for the 2026 draft on the table during this draft period.

The trade period will run until Wednesday, December 10, ahead of the Telstra AFLW Draft on Monday, December 15.
