The NAB AFL Women’s competition kicks off its 2019 season on Saturday, February 2, with the Geelong Cats taking on the Collingwood Magpies at GMHBA stadium. This will be Geelong’s first ever official AFLW game, so calling all Geelong residents and Cats fans especially – get to the game and let’s start the season off with a bang! Superstar players like Mel Hickey and Phoebe McWilliams will help too.
Aside from witnessing some history-making footy, there is so much more to do and see. Arrive early for family-friendly activities including face painting and glitter, a jumping castle, and table tennis.
Don’t forget your bathers and a towel as there’s also a Kids Beach Zone and, if you’re game, the Chemist Warehouse AFLW Waterslide.
Grab a bite at the Festival Site, or a free ice cream from Bulla, then kick back to tunes from Alice Ivy who’ll be playing before the game. It is going to be huge, and so much fun. Invite friends, or family… or both. Entry is FREE.
