WEST Coast's poor 2013 season hasn't impacted on its bottom line, with the club recording a $4.1 million operating surplus.

The Eagles struggled with injuries to key players last year and finished the season in 13th place with just nine wins.

But the club remained strong off the field, with chief executive Trevor Nisbett releasing the results on Friday, which included a royalty payment to the Western Australian Football Commission of $2.9 million.

Combined with the club's rent paid to the Commission of $3.5 million, the Eagles managed to feed nearly $6.4 million back into Western Australian football.

The club also registered a record membership level of 59,009, up from 57,478 in 2012.
