PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley isn't guaranteeing his young players will remain in the side for next Saturday night's elimination final with West Coast at Adelaide Oval.

The Power brought in youngsters Dougal Howard, Aidyn Johnson and Riley Bonner towards the end of the season.

Raw forward Todd Marshall, 18, also made his debut during the Power's run of three-straight wins to finish fifth on the ladder with a 14-8 record, but Hinkley said he wasn't sure if he would stick with youth.

"That's to be decided, they've certainly given themselves a great opportunity because we've played well in the last three weeks leading into the finals," Hinkley told FIVEaa on Thursday.

"Those boys who are in the side get the first look at it more often not, but we won't be frightened to look at form this week and make some decisions based on who we're playing and what side they (the Eagles) put on the park."

Defender Matthew Broadbent and utility Jackson Trengove will play for the Port Adelaide Magpies in their SANFL qualifying final with Sturt at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

Jarman Impey, Aaron Young, Brendon Ah Chee, Matt White and Angus Monfries will also come into consideration for a senior recall.

Broadbent made his return from an ankle injury last week, and if he gets through unscathed, he will likely return to the AFL side.

Trengove will also feature strongly at match committee after putting in several strong games since being dropped after the Power's round 20 thumping at the hands of cross-town rivals Adelaide.

"He's in as good as form as anyone who's not in the side," Hinkley said.

"He is disappointed he's not in the side, but as I've said to him again this week, he couldn't be doing any more.

"He's got to maintain that form now and wait for the opportunity if he we decide to pick him in a position that suits us and him."
