COLLINGWOOD defender Jack Frost has re-signed with the club for a further two years, tying him to the Westpac Centre until the end of 2016.

The 22-year-old played a crucial role in the Pies’ backline this season, becoming the only player to feature in every game for his club.

“I’m very excited that I will be playing at Collingwood for a further two years and extremely grateful for the opportunity that the club has given me,” Frost said.

“We have a fantastic group of players and a real belief in the direction we are going and I look forward to hopefully playing a key role in that.”

The full-back, who was selected with pick No. 46 in the 2012 NAB Rookie Draft, injured a posterior cruciate ligament in the VFL in 2013 but quickly became a key member of the club’s back six in 2014.

Collingwood’s director of football Rodney Eade praised Frost’s perseverance following his injury setback.

“Jack is part of the next generation of young talent whose progress has provided a window on an exciting future for the club,” Eade said.
