Guests came from as far as Queensland, Sydney, and country Victoria to celebrate the special occasion.
Three single ladies represented their late husbands - Gwen Crimmins (wife of Peter), Nan Meagher (wife of Des) and Joan Moore (whose husband Ivan was the Club’s secretary).
The group paid their respects to ’71 vice-captain Peter Crimmins on their way home, stopping by at Gwen’s olive grove where Peter’s grave lies in a special place.
The night consisted of a celebratory dinner including a delicious cake donated by Serg Mattioli who also provided decorations and gold medals.
A special thanks goes to Serg along with Judy and Ken Beck for organising the fantastic weekend.
Thank you also to David Parkin, Ray Wilson and Bruce Stevenson for contributing financially to the wonderful night.
The 1971 premiership celebration coincides with the Club’s 1961 premiership celebrations - the Gold’n Brown Jubilee, along with the 1991 premiership anniversary this year.
1971 players and officials celebrated the anniversary of Hawthorn's second premiership.
The group included captain David Parkin (bottom row, second from left).
The past players and officials' partners enjoyed the celebrations at the Grange in Daylesford.
