Other incidents assessed:

The match day report laid against Port Adelaide’s Jay Schulz for striking Melbourne’s Lynden Dunn was assessed. After receiving a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club and reviewing all available footage, it was determined the force used in the contact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Contact between Port Adelaide’s Paul Stewart and Melbourne’s Nathan Jones from the first quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. Port Adelaide’s Robbie Gray had the ball in the forward line and was being tackled by his opponent Jones. Gray changed direction in a bid to break the Melbourne player’s tackle. As Gray altered his direction, Jones spun out of the tackle and collided with Stewart, who was stationary and bracing for contact. It was the view of the panel that Stewart’s contact with Jones was caused by circumstances outside the control of the Port Adelaide player and no further action was taken.

Contact between Melbourne’s Bernie Vince and Port Adelaide’s Kane Cornes from the second quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
