nickdalsantoswife: Hey Goose, how have u been handling the extreme heat in S.A.?

Matt Maguire: The heat is not too bad because we train early in the morning and skills in the evening. During the heat of the day we tend to sunbake.

bsk2002: Hey Matt, have you spoken to Mark McGough yet and if so how is he doing?

Matt Maguire: Yes we've spoken, he's going okay. He’s fitting in well and enjoying his time at the moment

LaUrEnCe: Hey Matty, what was the most memorable moment you had so far in South Africa ??? …… You rock buddy!

Matt Maguire: Sun City was the best place I've been to in my life. A very memorable place, we spent a few days there.

miss_tatyana: Are you and the boys looking forward to coming home?

Matt Maguire: Yes, it has been a long trip. I think a few of the boys are hanging out for the flight home. We're still here another 6 days.

max8: Hey Goose, how have you been? Do you know anything about captaincy yet? Has it been talked about?

Matt Maguire: No, the captaincy hasn’t been talked about, but we will be electing a leadership group soon and a captain will be chosen from there.

saintbrat: How are the three new guys fitting in - have you found ways to make them welcome?

Matt Maguire: Aaron fiora, McGough and Acland are all fitting in well, a lot of the boys already know each other, so that is good.

mattyz_babe: Is Milney finally getting a tan, seeing as he is in the sun so much over there? That’s from Alana

Matt Maguire: He's trying, but I don’t think he can, he's only gone a darker shade of white.

LaUrEnCe: Who’s your best friend in the club, as in, who do u get along with the most ?

Matt Maguire: Luke Ball and Nick Dal Santo are the two blokes I consider good mates and get along with really well.

mattyz_babe: Is it hard having such long trips during the days? Are the boys getting sick of each other?

Matt Maguire: The boys aren’t getting too sick of each other. We spend time with different people everyday, so that’s good.

bsk2002: Nick Dal Santo was looking pretty buff in a photo. Who else is bulking up?

Matt Maguire: The main “bulker-upperer” is Brendan Goddard. He's topped the scales at 98.5kg

flea: Hey Matty we've heard so much about the running programs. How's your sprint technique coming along?

Matt Maguire: My sprint technique is not coming along all that well, I'm still getting over the O.P. Doing more swimming and cycling fitness work.

brookie: Hey Goose, who are you sharing a villa with? Do they snore?

Matt Maguire: I'm sharing with Nick Riewoldt and that’s all, which is a bit of a luxury. Everyone else is four to a room, so the only person I have to worry about snoring is me.

Saintbrat: What different foods have you tried and enjoyed?

Matt Maguire: We had ostrich when we were on safari which was very nice, apart from that I don’t think we've had anything too different

winmaristheman: Hey with Fiora on the back flank with you and Aussie that will be pretty hard to match up on, what do you reckon?

Matt Maguire: Yes, I think the backline is pretty good if we can get everyone out there and keep them out there

LaUrEnCe: Usually there are two groups a nerdy group and the cool group. Is there such a thing in St Kilda? Which group are you in?

Matt Maguire: Yes, there are two groups, the Burke's and the Barkers. As much as I would love to be in the Burke's I'm in the Barkers.

flea: Did you get to see a lion??

Matt Maguire: Yes, I saw two Lions, a couple of Cheetahs, Giraffes, Hippos, Rhinos, Springboks, lots of Zebras and a couple of wild Boars.

luvin_luke_ball: Hey Goose, is Luke Ball a Burke or a Barker?

Matt Maguire: Luke Ball is a Barker.

LaUrEnCe: Who was your hardest opponent to face in your career? P.S. I don't like Tredrae ;)

Matt Maguire: Probably Jonathan Brown. He was very tough this year. He's got strength and running ability.

Matt Maguire: Sorry everyone, I've got to head off to a Physio session. Look forward to catching you all back in Melbourne.
