Port Melbourne recruit Dom Bedendo joins State of Play following the Borough's breakthrough win in the Smithy's VFL.

Bedendo has become the club's Mr-Fix-It in his first season at ETU Stadium, filling a number of roles across his first five matches in the blue and red.

He chats to Gemma Bastiani and Joe Pignataro about his decision to join Port Melbourne after being delisted by the Western Bulldogs and his football journey to the elite level. He also discussed THAT non-paid mark in last week's clash against the Box Hill Hawks.

Also on this week's episode, Gemma and Joe go through all the major talking points across the Smithy's VFL and rebel VFLW, which includes:

- Nathan Colenso's nerves of steel to keep Williamstown's Smithy's VFL season alive
- GWS remaining undefeated at the top of the ladder
- Essendon toppling the rebel VFLW reigning premiers
- Sandringham's strong start to the VFLW season
- Why Footscray vs Casey is a fascinating watch this weekend
