FROM Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti's dramatic last-gasp matchwinner to Marc Murphy's brilliant bending banana, there were a host of stunning clutch moments in season 2019.

But what was the most memorable?

The AFL Fan Awards, in partnership with Google, will reveal the winners at 7pm on Wednesday by Richmond star Alex Rance and AFL.com.au's Riley Beveridge and Amberley Lobo.

From the best recruit to the most dominant individual performances, here are the contenders, as selected by an expert AFL.com.au panel…

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (v North Melbourne)
The Kangaroos had rallied to take the lead deep in the last quarter of their bout with the Bombers when McDonald-Tipungwuti gathered in the forward pocket and snapped truly from against the boundary. It completed a remarkable victory with just 20 seconds remaining, handing the livewire forward his fourth goal for the game.

Lincoln McCarthy (v Geelong)
It had been a seesawing encounter between two of the League's best sides when McCarthy produced his moment of magic. With his side trailing, McCarthy leapt on the back of Jack Henry to pull down a great screamer. He went back and calmly drilled the set-shot with just two minutes remaining, handing the Lions victory. All against his former side.

Marc Murphy (v Fremantle)
An undermanned Blues side had rallied from 30 points down on the road to the Dockers, closing the gap to less than a kick with just 30 seconds remaining. However, it still needed a stroke of brilliance. Murphy provided it. Claiming Zac Fisher's clever flick, Murphy stepped around his opponent and produced a brilliant checkside kick to win it for Carlton.

Michael Walters (v Brisbane)
Every player dreams of kicking after the siren to win the game for your side. Walters did it. With the scores tied at 72-72 when the siren sounded, Walters lined up for a shot at goal from 50m out with a slight angle. His booming left-foot kick sailed through, thumping against the post. It was enough to claim victory for the Dockers.

Sydney Stack (Richmond)
The youngster burst onto the scene when he was taken as a rookie in the pre-season, exciting with his speed, physicality and immense natural ability. He doesn't mind taking a big grab, either.

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (Essendon)
Everyone loves an exciting forward who can kick brilliant goals, harass defenders with fantastic closing speed and open up space for their teammates. McDonald-Tipungwuti does all of that, making him a fan favourite with the Essendon faithful.

Liam Ryan (West Coast)
Taking a big hanger every now and then certainly helps with earning the affection of supporters – and Ryan is just about the best there is at doing exactly that. A constant presence on the field due to his high-leaping abilities, Ryan has quickly become an important member of another successful Eagles era.

Brodie Grundy (Collingwood)
The big ruckman is one of the best footballers in the competition on the field, and one of the most unique characters off it. If his ability to influence matches wasn't enough to thrill supporters, then his ability to influence their AFL Fantasy games certainly does.

Stack and Betts embrace
Stack had been telling his idol 'no special goals tonight' when the two were paired against each other back in June. Betts then typically bent one through from his favourite pocket, leading to another cheeky exchange. This time, Stack could do nothing but embrace his opponent in a brilliant act of sportsmanship.

Dillon Tee proposes to Eleni Glouftsis
The long-time partners, one a boundary umpire and the other a field umpire, had just finished officiating their first game together when Carlton defeated Adelaide in July. Tee then led Glouftsis back onto the middle of the MCG after the conclusion of the game, where he proposed. It wasn't just Blues fans that went home happy after this one.

'Roughy' kicks six in his farewell game
Everyone wanted a fitting conclusion to a great career from Jarryd Roughead – and they got it. Put back into Hawthorn's side for its round 22 clash with Gold Coast, 'Roughy' delivered a typically outstanding performance in what proved his final AFL match. He kicked six goals, before he was given a warm send-off from the Hawthorn faithful.

Big Freeze 5
The annual 'Big Freeze' event was another massive success, with 14 ex-sporting greats heading down the slide into freezing cold water at the MCG to raise more than $500,000 in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease. Nick Riewoldt, dressed as Freddie Mercury, stole the show.

Lachie Neale (Fremantle to Brisbane)
He cost the Lions a high price, but the diminutive midfielder has been worth every penny. His remarkable ball-winning ability of the centre has provided Brisbane with plenty of drive.

Dylan Shiel (Greater Western Sydney to Essendon)
Arguably the most high-profile trade target throughout last season, Shiel completed a move to the Bombers and has been influential out of the midfield. His run and carry and his ability to break the lines out of the centre has given Essendon something it has long lacked.

Jarryd Lyons (Gold Coast to Brisbane)
One of the more intriguing trades of last season saw Lyons cross from Gold Coast to Queensland rivals Brisbane. He's been a fixture of the Lions' midfield, adding another crucial big body to a young onball group and winning plenty of contested footy.

Tom Lynch (Gold Coast to Richmond)
The biggest free agent to move clubs last season, the former Suns co-captain has adapted to the pressures involved in playing for the Tigers with ease. He's kicked heaps of goals, while he's sparked a fantastic relationship with fellow Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt.

Patrick Cripps (v Brisbane)
His coach had been sacked that week, his team had lost 10 of its first 11 games and found itself 37 points down to the high-flying Brisbane when co-captain Patrick Cripps rallied his troops. Cripps had 38 disposals, eight clearances and four goals to inspire a dramatic win.

Aaron Naughton (v Richmond)
This was the game that had many standing up and taking notice of the 19-year-old forward. He claimed 14 marks, including nine contested marks, falling just one short of Wayne Carey's record for the most in the game. He also slotted five goals to go along with that.

Jeremy Cameron (v Richmond)
The stat line alone says enough for Cameron's performance against the Tigers. He finished with 30 disposals, nine marks and kicked 7.5 in one of the most individually dominant displays produced this season.

Ben Brown (v Port Adelaide)
It's a rarity to see a player kick 10 goals in a single game, but Brown managed it against Port Adelaide. Remarkably, he did so from just 10 kicks. Everything fell the big Kangaroo's way as he surged back into the Coleman Medal race late in the season.
