Williamstown forward Brodie McLaughlin joins State of Play.

Despite winning both a premiership and the Frosty Miller Medal with the Gold Coast Suns in 2023, McLaughlin is in arguably career-best form in 2025.

He booted five goals to propel the Smithy's VFL State Team to victory over the SANFL in April and has snared 27 majors across the first eight games of the home and away season to sit equal first on the goal kicking table with Coburg's Mitch Podhajski.

His tally includes 18 majors across the past three matches to drag Williamstown back up the ladder following a 1-3 start to the season.

In addition to a chat with the Seagulls' superstar, this week's episode of State of Play also includes discussion on:

- Jordan Endemann's 100m bomb for a goal of the year contender
