The dates and times for Rounds 14 to 21 of the Smithy’s VFL season and Rounds 10-14 of the rebel VFLW season have been confirmed
The fixture announcement completes home and away scheduling following the original release of scheduling up to Round 13 in the Smithy’s VFL and Round 9 in the rebel VFLW prior to the seasons commencing.
Highlights of today’s fixture release include:
- Fifteen VFL/VFLW double-headers
- Twelve matches featuring Smithy’s VFL standalone clubs playing against each other
- rebel VFLW Grand Final rematch between Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne-Werribee under lights at Mission Whitten Oval on Friday, July 4 during Round 11. The match will commence at 7:35pm following the Smithy’s VFL Round 15 clash between Footscray Bulldogs and North Melbourne
- Smithy’s VFL Grand Final rematch between Werribee and Southport Sharks at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday, August 9 during Round 20
- Western Bulldogs to host Essendon in a night match at Mission Whitten Oval on Friday, August 1 to kickstart the final round of the rebel VFLW home and away season
- Round 18 of the Smithy’s VFL to feature three rivalry match-ups, with GWS Giants and Sydney Swans to clash at ENGIE Stadium on Friday afternoon ahead of the AFL clash, Gold Coast Suns hosting Brisbane Lions at Austworld Centre Oval on Saturday ahead of the Battle of Bell Street between Northern Bullants and Coburg at Genis Steel Oval on Sunday

Seven Network Smithy’s VFL broadcast matches
Saturday night football live and free on the Seven Network will continue in the second half of the Smithy’s VFL season.
A Saturday night match will feature every round from Round 14 to 20, with the match to be broadcast live and free by the Seven Network via 7mate in Victoria and 7plus Sport nationally from 7:00pm.
The Round 21 broadcast match between Sandringham and Essendon will be played on Saturday afternoon, commencing at 2:10pm, to avoid a clash with the Seven Network’s broadcast of the NAB AFLW Round 1 clash between the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne on Saturday night.

Broadcast and streaming
All matches in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL and rebel VFLW seasons will be live streamed free via AFL.com.au, the AFL Live Official App and the VFL App. Smithy’s VFL broadcast partner, the Seven Network, will broadcast one match per round live and free on the Seven Network in Victoria and on 7plus nationally.

Live scoring and stats will be available via both the AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
Ticketing
Where Smithy’s VFL matches are ticketed, entry is $10 for adults, $5 for concession holders and kids under 15 are free. Some venues don't charge for entry. AFL ticketing prices apply for VFL matches played as curtain-raisers and curtain-closers to AFL matches.
Entry to VFLW matches is free. Where venues host VFL and VFLW double-headers, entry fees will apply after half time of the VFLW match if played first.
