WEST Coast has confirmed two personnel changes for its clash with North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena on Sunday afternoon, while the Kangaroos will start as named during the week.

Star forward Josh Kennedy and powerful midfielder Luke Shuey are missing for the Eagles, withdrawn on Saturday, with Jake Waterman and Jack Petruccelle drafted in as cover for Sunday's early start.

Despite being named in the final team on Friday afternoon, Kennedy never boarded a flight to Tasmania and was withdrawn on Saturday, the club citing "general soreness", while Shuey is out for personal reasons.

Will Walker will make his AFL debut from the North Melbourne bench, alongside Nathan Hrovat, Ryan Clarke and Paul Ahern.

Nathan Vardy is playing his 50th AFL game and along with Petruccelle, Thomas Cole and Daniel Venables will start on the Eagles' interchange.

The Eagles can take a big step towards locking up a top-two spot with a win in Hobart while the Kangaroos will want a win to stay in touch with the eight and to help celebrate Shaun Higgins' 200th AFL match.
