The AFL has today announced the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships U18 Boys All Australian Team.
Seven members of South Australia’s title-winning squad were selected, including captain and team MVP Dyson Sharp, who was appointed All Australian captain and awarded the Larke Medal as the competition best and fairest player.
The strong-bodied midfielder averaged 27 disposals, six clearances, five tackles and one goal a game to lead South Australia to its first U18 Boys National Championships title since 2018.
Sharp previously claimed the Kevin Sheehan Medal as the best and fairest player at the 2023 Marsh AFL National Development Championships U16 Boys.
He was selected in the All Australian team alongside South Australian teammates Sam Ainsworth, Harley Barker, Sam Cumming, Mitch Marsh, Matthew LeRay and Aidan Schubert, while Tony Bamford was selected as coach.
Team MVPs Lachlan Carmichael (Allies), Willem Duursma (Victoria Country), Oliver Greeves (Victoria Metro) and Fred Rodriguez (Western Australia) were all named in the All Australian team.
The All Australian Team and Larke Medal voting panel comprised Kevin Sheehan (AFL Talent Ambassador – Chair), Paul Hamilton (AFL National Talent Development & Competitions Manager), Tarkyn Lockyer (AFL National Academy Manager) and AFL club representatives Rhy Gieschen (Richmond), Michael Jordan (St Kilda), John Giramondo (Sydney Swans), Duane Massey (West Coast Eagles) and Luke Williams (Western Bulldogs).
