HAWTHORN has made a late change for Sunday's clash with Carlton, with midfielder Jaeger O'Meara to miss with a hip complaint.

Jonathan O'Rourke comes in as his replacement.

O'Meara has been in fine touch for the Hawks this year and will miss just his second game for the year.

O'Rourke will play just his second game for the year and is coming off a quadriceps strain that forced him out of the loss to Brisbane last week.

The Blues made no late change, although veteran Dale Thomas was withdrawn on Saturday making way for Nick Graham.

Gold Coast's shock win over Sydney on Saturday makes the wooden spoon a near certainty for the Blues, while the Hawks simply must win to keep their place in the logjam for places in the lower reaches of the eight.
