DRAFT prospects Lochie O'Brien and Jaidyn Stephenson will be featured this week in the return of AFL.com.au's Going Places series.

In the fourth year of Going Places, AFL.com.au has tracked the Victorian pair throughout 2017 in their progress towards the NAB AFL Draft, which will take place on November 24 in Sydney.

O'Brien and Stephenson have been on the radar of clubs for several years, having both made representative sides as juniors before impressing at the under-16 national carnival two years ago and staking their claim as likely early picks.

But as Going Places details, the pair have also met their share of obstacles in their push to reach the top level.

O'Brien grew up in Mildura and left home as a teenager to board at Geelong Grammar School, where has completed his year 12 studies.

His draft season was also impacted by nagging injuries that saw him unable to reach his best as consistently as he would have liked.

Stephenson burst onto the scene two years ago playing for the Eastern Ranges' under-18 side as a 16-year-old, and has since become one of the most talked about and analysed prospects in this year's group.

He discusses the pressures that come with being tipped as a probable early selection, his move from the forward line to the midfield, and also the personal challenges he has faced in recent times.

Going Places will begin on Monday, November 13, and run through to Thursday, November 16.
