Fan rivalry will live beyond the stands, online and talkback radio this AFL Gather Round, as the AFL launches Run 4(km) Your Club.

Taking place on Saturday, 11 April, Run 4 Your Club is a mass participation running and walking event that will see supporters from every AFL club compete for off-field bragging rights in a four kilometres club-versus-club battle during the 2026 'Gather Round…A Festival of Footy' in South Australia.

The four-kilometre route will start and finish outside of the Macca's Footy Festival at Elder Park, with participants taking in the southern banks of the River Torrens with the Adelaide Oval as the backdrop, the Adelaide Zoo and looping around the eastern side of North Adelaide. The finish line will welcome participants and supporters into the Macca's Footy Festival – the four-day festival full of free activities and entertainment for all ages.

With entry just $10* per participant, registration proceeds from Run 4 Your Club will be donated to the official charity partner of the 2026 AFL Gather Round - the Women's & Children's Hospital, supporting vital health services for South Australian families.

All registrants are encouraged to sign up to their nominated AFL Club on Strava, to engage with fellow fans and keep track of their journey to the start line and event day.

Following the success of the Clubby Sports Adelaide Run Club in 2025, popular footy podcaster, Dylan Buckley, is this year's event ambassador and says Run 4 Your Club will tap directly into the heart of footy culture.

"Footy fans love rivalry, we talk about it all year. But this is the time, this is about the fans actually getting to compete for their Club," Buckley said.

"It's not about being fast, you just have to show up. I can't wait to see fans from all over the country join me on the start line next month."

With live leaderboards tracking participation and performance across all 18 clubs, the winning club will be crowned on the day, proving once and for all which fanbase shows up when it counts.

"Run 4 Your Club is about turning AFL rivalry into positive action. It gives fans a new way to represent their club, connect with each other and be part of something bigger than just the match day," AFL Executive General Manager of Customer, Commercial & Technology, Bec Haagsma said.

"We're really excited to deliver more engagement to fans and attendees during AFL Gather Round and this event brings to competitiveness, inclusivity and something uniquely AFL."

Verity Gobbett, CEO of the Adelaide Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation, added: "We're so grateful to the AFL for supporting fans to show their team colours and get active in the community, all while supporting an incredible local charity."

All participants will receive an event participation shirt.
